HISTORY OF BUBUZUKI STUDIOS

HISTORY

My name is Brian Woods. I built Bubudzuki Studios from October 2022 through February 2024. Our first band in the Studio was Bashful Bull. They celebrated the inaugural first day here with me on February 3rd 2024.

CROCKETT, CA

Bubudzuki Studios is located in the old Bailey Art Museum, which once housed the majority of pioneering and renowned Funk Artist, Clayton Bailey’s work. Crockett is situated on the Carquinez Straight, where The Bay meets The Delta. We’re an old company town, just a stones through away from San Fransisco(28mi), Oakland, (23mi) and Sacramento(63mi). You may have seen our massive light-up sign from highway 80, marking the turn-of-the-century landmark, The California and Hawaiian Sugar (C&H) Factory.

With artists everywhere being priced out of big cities, Crockett continues to be a haven for skilled artists and craftspeople. Some of our neighbors include a film soundstage, custom fine furniture woodworker, vintage store, luthier shop and several exceptional eateries in an otherwise baron far-east-bay culinary scene.

We also have a couple great dives, Toots and Club Tac, within a 10min. walk from the studio. There you’ll find live music, interesting people, wild decor and all around good vibes.

We’re about a 7min. drive to the famous and beautiful Port Costa, home of The Warehouse and the acclaimed, Bull Valley Roadhouse.

Construction at Bubudzuki’s began in October of 2022.
